ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System

A new revision to the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System (FSMS) standard has been released on June 19, 2018. The new International Standard version is now called ISO 22000:2018 FSMS.All companies registered to the previous version (ISO 22000:2005) shall start transitioning to this updated standard version. In this course , we will cover the changes in the new standard version and compare it with the previous version.

Prerequisite for Attending

This course is designed ideally for experienced food safety professionals with an understanding of the management system approach to food safety.

Prior to attending this training course, participants should have, but it is not essential, sufficient knowledge of the following Food Safety Management principles and concepts to ensure this training is as beneficial as possible.Knowledge of the following Food Safety Management principles and concepts is recommended:

  • Implementing or operating a management system within a food sector context. This includes private schemes such as FSSC 22000, BRC and/or other schemes which include management system components.

  • Knowledge of prerequisite programs (PRPs) as specified in ISO/TS 22002 series.

  • Good practice guides for Manufacturing (GMP), Production (GPP), Hygiene (GHP), Agriculture (GAP), Veterinary (GVP), Distribution (GDP) and/or Trading (GTP) depending on the sector of the food chain in which the participant operates.

  • Knowledge of the requirements of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO 9001:2015.
